Keeping It Neutral

It seems as though winter never really made it to the south this year. Houston weather is as temperamental as a 3 year old child that can’t have the cereal of it’s choice. Our winter has closely resembled Spring, sometimes Fall on a good day. Although the temperatures haven’t dropped consistently, we have a few days here and there that require long sleeves and tall boots. On these days, I feel like the world is my runway.
Am I the only person that feels like she dresses better during the colder months? I’m more excited to get dressed up even when I have no where to go. But when I do, my winter outfits serve multiple purposes: date night, happy hour with the girls, running errands etc. I wore this look to do every one of those things I just mentioned. The key to versatility is finding a happy medium between being over and underdressed.
Simplicity helped me achieve that balance because all it took was a semi-dressy top, riding leggings, and boots. Accessories gave my look some depth. The major component that set the tone of this look is the color scheme. One of the things I love most about this season is the appreciation for neutral colors. I adore all things black, camel, or red. I combined my faves and ended up with a look that made me feel sexy and ready for anything. What is your go-to winter look that makes you feel ready for the world? Leave your comments below and don’t forget to share! :)
