Louis Vuitton Dream Exhibit
/I’ll admit it. This section of my blog has been lacking for some time. I have not invested any time or real energy into documenting my personal style in what seems like forever. However, while I am not currently dressing up and taking pictures, I am still drawing inspiration and consuming fashion by indulging in the arts.
In December, I decided to revisit Paris for my birthday and as soon as my friend Sakita heard, she sent me the link to the LV Dream Exhibit. I booked the only ticket that was still available for the time frame I’d be there, which happened to be the day I arrived. I landed in Paris on my birthday, a rainy Christmas Eve morning. I stopped by my hotel room to drop my things off and to freshen up before heading to the exhibit. I spent most of my first day there. Along with enjoying the art, I met a new friend that shares my birthday and ate at the Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton Cafe which I’ll be writing about in a separate post.
As the name lends, the exhibit was a dream. Louis Vuitton describes it as “a rich and exhilarating exploration of Louis Vuitton’s ongoing dialogue between the past and the future, heritage and modernity, Paris and abroad, savoir-faire and innovation”. That description is quite literally perfect so instead of boring you with more words, here is some of what I captured from the exhibit. Also, I would love to hear from you in the comments. Where do you draw fashion inspiration from?
As always, thank you for reading. Ciao!
