Texas Avenue BNB Preview Party

Like many of you, a huge part of my travel planning entails choosing my accommodations. Usually, I’m a “hotel girl”. I love the comfort, safety, and familiarity that comes with an established hotel. However, there are times when I’m traveling on a budget and AirBNB is the perfect option.

You may have read about my various experiences with the platform in my posts: How to AirBNB While Black or How I Ended Up Stranded Alone in Jamaica During Hurricane Harvey. So, when I received the invitation for the Texas Avenue BNB Preview Party, I was super excited to attend and get a sneak peek. I invited one of my favorite blogger friends, Chrystina, and we had a blast! We enjoyed music, cocktails and light-bites while strolling the lofts and taking it all in.

Located in the East End of Houston, the property is marketed as “Houston’s only shoppable, boutique AirBNB”. We had no clue what that really meant but we were eager to see the former warehouse that is now converted into three, themed lofts. From the outside the building is very unassuming but once inside, I was impressed! All the units had very distinct vibes ranging from “Old Hollywood Glam” to “Boho Chic” to “Eclectic”. They were spacious (sleeping 4-18) and thoughtfully decorated.

Oh! And I know you’re probably still wondering what they mean by “shoppable”. You could purchase the wall art that was featured in each loft.
